Job Description
As a QA analyst for Accessibility, you will support operations for the Meta Central Accessibility team and work closely with program leads, supporting QA and other cross-functional partners in our efforts to build inclusive products and platforms. This role demands flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and enthusiasm for operating in a fast-paced environment.
This is a contract position, which can be either remote or on-site, working directly with the Meta Central Accessibility team based in Menlo Park, California.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist accessibility program managers in Meta product accessibility review planning, execution, and delivery
- Draft, revise, and curate accessibility test plans, working closely with product teams to ensure coverage of relevant user experiences
- Monitor multiple user feedback channels, triage feedback, and reproduce, document, and escalate bugs
- Provide other general support to Accessibility program managers in day-to-day operations
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years experience working in QA, product test plan development and new feature testing
- Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 guidelines
- Proficiency navigating and using mobile device Assistive Technology, including VoiceOver or TalkBack screenreaders
- Proficiency using iOS and Android accessibility settings
- Proficiency using Mac and Windows computers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work and stay organized across multiple work streams
- Proficiency using word processors, spreadsheets, and collaboration tools like Google Docs
- Ability to work remotely as needed. Requires candidate to have broadband internet connection and the ability to use Video Conferencing software
- Must be authorized to work in the USA at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with accessibility QA teams and developing test plans with a focus on accessibility testing
- Experience using advanced mobile screen reader features like: Rotor, Custom Actions, Shortcut Gestures, etc
- Experience using NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver screenreaders
- Experience with alternative input devices and assistive technology like switch control/devices
- Experience using bug tracking software (like Jira)
- Experience working with remote teams across multiple time zones
This is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position $35.31/hour - $43.41/hour
