Job Description

Meta is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to support the payments compliance audit strategy and program. We are looking for a highly qualified and technically proficient leader who has hands-on experience overseeing and managing a team responsible for performing risk assessments, evaluating the design of internal controls, and executing operational and compliance audits to assess the effectiveness of processes and controls.


This candidate will closely partner with cross-functional teams to assess regulatory and compliance requirements and help mitigate risks. The candidate must have the skills necessary to influence people and navigate an ambiguous, rapidly changing environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, implementation, and execution of the Payments Compliance audit program, including managing the implementation of a dynamic audit plan
  • Lead risk assessment within the payments space and recommend audit projects that will deliver value to Meta
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in coordinating and building relationships with key cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation and functioning of the program
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to help ensure compliance with BSA/AML and sanctions regulations, and other relevant legislation
  • Align with the second line of defense to assess risk and advise on controls related to emerging compliance and regulatory changes
  • Oversee and manage complex projects including risk assessments, audit execution, and post-remediation validation, along with managing project budget
  • Partner with other Internal Audit team members to coordinate cross-team audit projects and initiatives in alignment with IA's strategy
  • Effectively manage relationships with the internal audit co-sourcing partner(s) to ensure that we execute as one team
  • Coordinate with other risk management functions (e.g., Privacy and Regulatory Compliance, Information Security) to minimize duplication of effort and ensure efficient execution


Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a Big 4 audit firm and/or internal audit, compliance, or risk management roles
  • BA/BS in Accounting, finance, or Business Administration
  • Working knowledge of AML, Know Your Customer (KYC), and OFAC regulations, as well as experience with other US and international financial regulations
  • Demonstrated experience in project management practices (e.g. leading teams, managing budget), and managing projects through the audit lifecycle
  • Communication, interpersonal, and presentation experience that allow interactions with business partners
  • Analytical experience
  • Problem solving experience
  • Experience mentoring, reviewing performance, and developing talent
  • Experience working with minimal supervision to multi-task, manage workload to completion
  • Experience working as part of a global, cross-functional team and working with all levels


Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, CAMS, CFE, CCEP or CIA certification
  • Audit experiences in the Fintech space, banking, or other financial services
  • Experience in anti-bribery and corruption compliance monitoring and testing.
  • This is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position $54.61/hour - $62.98/hour
