Job Description:
As an Electrical Engineer at Reality Labs, you will help to create the next generation of Augmented Reality (AR) devices.
The ideal candidate should have demonstrated the ability to collaborate effectively with internal design teams and external production partners. More so, we are looking for an experienced engineer that has demonstrated success navigating through design, debug, and validation of high-volume hardware. The candidate will also have strong communication skills at all levels, being able to generate documentation and reports for management as well as instructions for technicians.
Job Responsibilities:
• Create and edit schematics, and work with layout partners to generate new PCBA designs.
• Accurately estimate time needed for design and test completion.
• Prototype and evaluate performance of digital, analog, and power circuits.
• Run and participate in schematic and layout design reviews.
• Interface with flex, rigid, and/or rigid-flex fabrication and assembly partners to bring up new processes and resolve issues.
• Partner with internal teams for integration, design validation, debug, and failure analysis.
Skills:
• Experience with Cadence OrCAD CIS/CIP and Altium preferred.
• Understanding of SIPI and DFM rules and common issues.
• Understanding of flex, rigid, and rigid-flex circuit manufacturing and reliability.
• Experience in digital, analog, and power design and validation.
• Experience with writing Python scripts to interface with test hardware a plus.
• Experience with writing and debugging firmware a plus.
• Experience with electrical hardware failure analysis a plus.
• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
• Team player and detail oriented.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
This is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position $62.70/hour - $68.29/hour
