Job Description:
The electrical engineering team within Meta VR EE team is seeking an electrical technician as a contractor. As an EE Technician, you will support the electrical engineering team who develops the latest generation of Virtual Reality devices and Hardware developments at Meta.
The EE Tech will be an electrically minded technician who is passionate at building products and prototypes out of electrical subsystems such as Display, Cameras, Audio, RF, Sensors, etc.
The successful candidate will be creative, self-motivated, detail oriented and a team player.
Job Responsibilities:
● Has experience and understanding in performing ESD testing
● Must be comfortable using ESD test equipment and working in a lab environment
● Able to understand electrical and mechanical drawings, such as Schematic and Layout
● Able to help design and assemble custom test fixtures
● Assist engineering team in performing electro-mechanical assembly and tear down
● Skilled builder and familiar with typical shop/lab tools
● Creative problem solver able to figure out ways to get things done quickly, efficiently, and
professionally
● Perform high-density PCB and FPC rework, repair and occasional troubleshooting using
advanced bench tools. Component size down to 0201.
Qualifications:
● 2 years Associates Degree in Engineering or at least 3 years of direct electrical
engineering experience
● Knowledge of IEC61000-4-2.
This is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position $31.82/hour - $44.06/hour
