Job Description:
The Spill and Incident Preparedness Coordinator will support emergency preparedness activities including developing and implementing training, drills and procedures across Redmond Campus. The ideal candidate has experience leading emergency response activities in research, wet chemistry and fabrication environments. Candidate should have strong knowledge of chemical compatibility, process equipment and monitoring systems to aid in response in the event of an alarm, incident or other emergency. This role will report to EHS Manager and partner closely with lab users, facilities and security.
Job Responsibilities:
• Enhances existing emergency action plan(s) for facility, ensuring OSHA and EPA requirements, national and local fire protection codes, and industry requirements are addressed and implemented. Oversees inspection program for emergency equipment across Redmond Campus
• Develop and conduct training aligning with Business Unit Plans to include confined space, fall protection and respiratory protection, including fit testing.
• Actively participates in Spill and Incident Response Team; including leading drills and training for team
• Conducts routine inspections for life safety across campus including understanding of high-risk processes occurring across campus
• Provides recommendations for enhancing existing processes through post incident reviews, drills and tabletop exercises.
• Reviews and revises campus EAP and other contingency plans as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned as related to safety and emergency preparedness and response
Education/Experience:
• Bachelors degree in EHS, Emergency Management, Emergency Response or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years leading emergency preparedness and response including strong knowledge of chemical compatibilities and hazards
• Working knowledge of emergency response regulations and industry best practices
• Ability to lead response, investigation and debrief for complex emergency situations
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
This is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position $51.00/hour - $70.62/hour
