Mechanical Engineer V

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD/Meshing Engineer to work on a short-term contract basis with our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for simplifying CAD models and creating HEX meshes for use in ANSYS LS-Dyna simulations.

The successful candidate will be required to have experience using ANSYS LS-Dyna, and be able to work independently to complete projects within the required timeframe. In addition, the candidate must possess excellent presentation and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Simplify CAD models to optimize performance in ANSYS LS-Dyna simulations.

• Create high-quality HEX meshes for use in ANSYS LS-Dyna simulations.

• Maintain high-quality work standards throughout the project lifecycle.

• Attend regular project meetings to discuss progress, risks, and next steps.

• Create clear and concise technical documentation.

• Develop presentations to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with CAD modeling (NX preferred) and (required).
• 3+ years ANSYS LS-Dyna
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent presentation and documentation skills
• BA/BS in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent job experience will be considered in lieu of college degree

Good to have:

• Experience with manufacturing process simulating
• Experience modeling foams in FEA
• Experience modeling human tissue in FEA
• Experience modeling textiles in FEA.

This is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position $56.06/hour - $77.62/hour
