Job Responsibilities

● Design optical mechanical fixtures for optical module test and metrology equipment (benchtop, factory)

● Provide opto-mechanical and automation expertise to the cross-functional team

● Participate in DFM/DFT reviews for product and test fixtures.

● Assist in the development of new optical test setups, including recommending tester designs, concept proofing, and validation.

● Setup and execute optical validation tests per written procedure or instruction.

● Work with optical test equipment DRI to design and implement optical test stations for laboratory prototyping, or in high-volume manufacturing environments


Minimum qualifications:

● MS degree in Mechanical, Optical Engineering, Opto-Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

● Proficiency with Mechanical CAD Software: Nx, Solidwork, Creo or equivalent.

● 5 years of experience in mechanical design for consumer product testing.

● 3 years of experience testing optical components or devices.

● Experience designing, procuring parts, configuring, and validating up new test setups.

● Test fixture qualification procedures,tolerance analysis, and related simulation

● Strong problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills.


Preferred Qualifications

● MS in Mechanical/Opto-Mechanical Engineering.

● Experience with high volume production, test fixture GRR, Statistical analysis.

● Working knowledge of image quality metrics, optical characterization, and optical test hardware.

● Basic knowledge of optical engineering concepts, metrics.

● Experience with optical design and simulation software: Zemax, Code V or equivalent

● Experience with hardware testing, system bring up, and design validation.

● Experience with statistical analysis methodologies and tools such as JMP and MS Excel.


This is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position $70.91/hour - $98.17/hour
