Job Description:

The main function of a designer is to create designs, concepts and sample layouts based on design principles and concepts. A typical designer needs to have a high level of creativity and able to communicate their ideas to both internal and external clients. The ability to be flexible to client demands, work well under pressure and multi-task are required skills.


Hard Skills:

  • 3+ years’ relevant production design or design systems experience
  • Experience establishing and evolving design system documentation
  • Experience working on toolkit development and stewardship
  • Expert working within Figma
  • Experienced with Google Drive & Dropbox
  • Experience working with Visual Systems assets (Illustrations & Icons)
  • Familiar with iOS, Android, WWW design and 3D surface
  • Familiar with HTML/CSS/Basic Markup
  • Familiar with Github
  • Familiar with unity, protopie


Soft Skills:

  • Highly detail-oriented and a process thinker
  • Energized by a fast moving product org with dynamic priorities focused on ambiguous problem spaces
  • Independent, but also communicates with and receives direction from cross functional teams
  • Works quickly and efficiently, without sacrificing quality
  • Comfortable being an advocate for a design systems team, and interested in nurturing partnerships with product teams
  • Familiar with design thinking at a systems level
  • Familiar and comfortable with contributing to design systems guidance and documentation overall


Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain a large library of components & ​​files
  • Create, revise, and maintain individual component files
  • Provide detailed design specs for existing components
  • Partner with Product Designers to create detailed behavior and visual specs
  • Update and maintain component documentation
  • Explore new variants for existing components
  • Update and maintain design system Master Sheets
  • Create, organize, and assign tasks (passing design specs to engineers, updating libraries, etc)
  • Troubleshoot issues with design files (layer structure/organization)
  • Provide Visual Systems Production Design support for illustrations & Icons
  • Provide help/guidance in relevant feedback groups
  • Conduct extensive design audits (iOS/Android, screenshots/video recordings)
  • Manage and organize all servers and files and create templates for the team
  • Assist with other tasks


Education/Experience:

• Associate's degree in design and/or certificate in graphic design required. Bachelor's degree in design or related field preferred.


This is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position $64.40/hour - $74.93/hour
