They should have experience driving multiple projects or teams in a fast-paced environment with relevant focus and expertise in SSI and eating disorder/body image issues, including measurable success in advising product teams in that area.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for understanding the global landscape of academics, civil society, advocates, think tanks and other relevant global stakeholders on youth well-being issues, with a focus on suicide and self-injury and eating disorders/body image.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to monitor, respond to and get ahead of certain mental health and well-being issues, particularly those related to young people.
- Execute a strategy in partnership with regional policy teams to build, monitor, and engage with external stakeholders in relation to Meta’s policies and products related to youth well-being, specifically SSI and eating disorders/body image.
- Work with and provide subject matter expertise to Meta's product, operations, integrity, research, policy, and program teams to support those using our platforms to build connections and communities that support and foster mental health and well-being.
- Lead development of content for all external facing SSI, eating disorders/body image, mental health, and well-being guidance, responses, supports, resources and presentations.
- Willingness to roll up sleeves and do any task required to get the job done
Minimum Qualification
- 10+ years of experience in mental health, well-being and technology.
- Experience with consensus-building and proven track record of collaborative approach to problem solving and teamwork
- Demonstrated experience working analytically in a fast-paced environment and thinking, moving and executing quickly
- Experience operating independently, highly organized, autonomous, and structured
- Experience growing and managing strategic partnerships, and presenting before internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience producing results under deadlines, juggling multiple projects at once, finding pragmatic and creative solutions to business issues, providing concise and business-focused advice, and making sound judgments
Preferred Qualification
- Advanced degree in mental health, public health, or health policy
- Experience working cross-functionally with numerous teams across policy, legal, operations, programs and product teams
- Experience working in a rapidly growing and fast-paced environment
- Experience working with civil society organizations and international institutions around the world
- Experience working in public policy, advocacy, or service delivery around mental health issues and at the intersection of technology, social media, and safety
- Experience working in the intersection of technology, social media, and safety.
This is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position $43.81/hour - $41.42/hour
