Our team is expanding and we’re looking for a SW TPM, VR Release to help manage the reliability of our VR OS software releases. As a SW TPM, Release, you will be primarily responsible for monitoring and addressing top %SAD contributing production issues, and driving to resolution with engineering owners for the Quest line of products. We are looking for TPMs with a proven track record of developing and shipping high quality products and experiences. This role will have the opportunity to work closely with world-class development teams and leaders across the organization to deliver trustworthy experiences into Meta products (such as Quest 2, Quest Pro etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the Release team to manage the reliability for all our products
- Monitor and address top reliability contributing production issues, drive to resolution with engineering owners.
- Daily triage and ensure prompt resolution of crash launch-blockers to stabilize active release branches.
- Act as the SME for xfn partners on reliability/crashes issues and inquiries, help to troubleshoot and find answers to unblock resolution
- Educate xfn partners on reliability , processes, tools, and data sources to promote learning and tool adoption.
- Monitor and ensure proper functionality of tooling, gather feedback for continuous improvement of tools and processes.
- Effectuates discipline at multiple layers and to help avoid pitfalls (like ungraceful punts of tasks/ getting timely traction to critical issues with higher impact on user experiences).
- Monitor and report on release reliability, including risks and issues, and take necessary actions to mitigate them.
- Drive visibility, accountability, and execution across areas of software development for the organization.
- Continuously improve the release management process and tools to increase efficiency and quality.
- Resolve conflicts, maintain clarity on priorities and drive progress on execution.
- Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and development processes in a quickly changing and dynamic environment, drive impact through deployment of key initiatives and garner adoption of those processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to release management.
- Find ways to achieve efficiencies in the release process through tools and technology.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of software release management, systems engineering, hardware engineering, software engineering, or technical product/program management experience.
- Proven track record of successfully managing software releases for complex products or platforms at significant scale.
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience managing cross-functional programs in a matrix organization covering a range of areas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Experience with release management tools and systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience working with AOSP. (Preferred but not required)
- Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.
- Experience in leading complex execution across multiple teams in different time zones, anticipating roadblocks and creating a path forward.
- Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
- Communicator who can translate high-level goals into tangible action plans, and vice-versa & expertise communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position $69.61/hour - $83.19/hour
