Job Description:

The main function of a technical project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as hardware engineering, optical systems, and consumer electronics.


Job Responsibilities:

• Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.

• Manage project progress and keep tracking the milestones and major issue list.

• Consult with XFN, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.

• Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.

• Provide management with high-level technical summary and clear paths for next steps.


Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.

• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

• Basic knowledge of 3D printing, Injection molding, lamination and other manufacturing processes.

• Basic knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

• Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

• Basic knowledge of ramping up a hardware technology from concept to mass production, for example from NTI to NPI and product launch.


Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, materials engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.

• PMI or PMP certification preferred.


This is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position: $45.82 /hour - $63.44/hour
