Job Description:
The Quantified Wearability (QW) team is an applied research team whose research impacts stakeholders across Meta Reality Labs. As a Human Factors UX researcher on the QW team, you’ll be responsible for planning and executing user experience research studies for multiple prototype products. You’ll work closely with research staff and other UX researchers to inform study design and conduct data collection with human participants. You will conduct data analysis and prepare reports to summarize key findings to cross-functional engineering and product partner teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with researchers & engineers, to define, execute, and analyze user research studies that will directly inform product design
- Submit potential projects through research review and privacy process
- Strictly adhere to privacy and safety standards when working directly with participants or participant data
- Collaboratively and independently develop and execute research roadmaps
- Lead various research studies throughout all the phases of the product development cycle
- Conduct original data analysis and prepare presentations to communicate research findings
- Manage research vendors to help augment the work of the research team
Skills:
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative UX research and study design.
- Experience running and analyzing motion capture studies
- Experience with biomechanics or 3d scanners
- Experience working directly with human subjects.
- Extensive experience with data and utilizing numbers to define and support hypotheses.
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage one’s time.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environment.
- Prior experience with Python, R, MATLAB, or equivalent for data analysis. Understanding of large database infrastructure (SQL) is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a human behavior related field, such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, computer science, or economics
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in a human behavior related field, such as human-computer interaction, psychology, information science, media studies, or computer science
This is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position $40.60/hour - $56.21/hour
