UX Researcher IV

Job Description:

As a UX researcher in the Augmented Reality space, you’ll have the opportunity to partner directly with a single, tightly integrated pod of experts collaborating to build and launch brand new products. Research is paramount to this organization’s success - formative research is needed to identify the right latent needs or problems in the world to tackle with product solutions, iterative design research is needed to mold early product ideas into testable prototypes, and creative evaluative research is needed to improve and prepare those products for market.


Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with researchers, designers, PMs & engineers to identify, define and deliver meaningful products into the world

• Collaboratively and independently develop and execute research roadmaps

• Lead various research studies throughout all the phases of the product development cycle

• Contribute to product strategy, execution and go-to-market plan

• Manage research vendors to help augment the work of the research team

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

• Experience with autonomy and decision making to balance demands

• Experience working in a technical environment

• Experience utilizing research and data to drive product strategy and decision making

• Experience with data and utilizing numbers to define and support hypotheses

• A portfolio of work that demonstrates storytelling to get traction with various audiences

• Experience with mixed methods research



MUST HAVES:

• Experience with health wearables and with Google/Microsoft/Apple tech experience

• Qualitative and Quantitative experience

• Reporting (independent in writing reports, concise reports)

• In depth reviews and survey design

• Experience in health and wearables and with Google/Microsoft/Apple tech experience


• Can indepencently conduct mixed-methods research: For example, IDIs and surveys

• Communication / collaboration / transparency / staying in sync with cross-functional collaborators

• Clear and concise reporting


Education/Experience:

• BA/BS in a human behavior related field, such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, computer science, or economics

• Masters degree or PHD is highly preferred

• 5 - 7 years of experience (Maximum of 8 years, no more than 8)


This is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position:$65.25/hour - $78.81/hour
