Job Description

We are looking for a Qualitative or Mixed-Methods UX Researcher to work on the Facebook Core Ads Experiences (CAE) team. At a high level, the mission of the CAE team is to help businesses tell their story effectively on Facebook Feed. In fact, our team is responsible for the ads seen by millions of users every single day on their mobile feed.

In this role, you will work closely with a cross-functional team to help optimize designs and inform product direction. You will be responsible for conducting end-to-end research - defining key questions, choosing appropriate methods, running sessions, analyzing data, and ultimately translating your insights into actionable recommendations for the product team.

Lastly, as a UXR within the larger Facebook App Research org, you will have a unique opportunity to collaborate with and learn from other talented UXR who are working in similar product spaces.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand the product and define key research needs
  • Independently develop and execute research roadmaps
  • Conduct end-to-end user research and translate insights into actionable product recommendations
  • Work closely with product designers to help optimize feature designs and flows based on research insights
  • Collaborate with other UXR to help form the strategic vision for the CAE team and the larger Facebook Monetization org

Skills:

  • Experience conducting UX research (usability tests, concept tests, in-depth interviews, diary studies, surveys, etc.) with a high degree of rigor and quality
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and influencing product design
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially the ability to communicate research insights to non-researchers
  • Ability to work autonomously to define research needs, plan studies, and deliver insights in a timely manner
  • Experience within the ads/monetization space is a plus


Education/Experience:

  • BA/BS in a human behavior related field, such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, computer science, or economics.


This is the pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position $66.11/hour - $91.53/hour
